Camp Patriot is not only a way to thank our military veterans that have been disabled in the protection of our freedom, but to help them reconnect with life.
God has blessed my family beyond our needs and we desire to share that with others that need help. Micah, our son, envisioned Camp Patriot to help disabeld veterans and together we have worked to bring it into fruition. Micah is gifted with the ability to envision things that are not and see them to a conclusion.
It has been an honor to serve God in this way, working with one of our sons, meeting some remarkable disabled veterans and those who want to help them.
Military: I enlisted in the Navy in 1967 and served a Vietnam tour from 1968-69 with Attack Squadron 216 Black Diamonds aboard the USS Coral Sea. I trained as an aviation electrician, served as plane captain on A-4 Skyhawks, and concluded service as a 3rd class petty officer.
Civilian: My wife, Sandy, and I have lived in California and Washington and now are building a log home for retirement in Montana. In our 40 years of marriage, I spent 28 years in law enforcement, the last five years as Police Chief in Newport WA.
While working in law enforcement in Eastern Washington God blessed me to become elected as Port Commissioner with the Port of Pasco. During sixteen years as a commissioner, I have been honored to serve on a variety of boards both locally and on the West Coast. I am currently the President of the Washington Public Ports Association.
God has also blessed us with our other son Matt, his wonderful wife Jamey, and our three grandchildren, Nadia, Nathan and Jalan Tad, who are truly great. My wife and I have served Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior for about 35 years and endeavor to continue that service until we die or He returns.
